Reflexology for chronic health conditions certified CPPD program

About this CPPD program
Our reflexology for chronic health conditions certified CPPD program will enable you to work safely and effectively with clients diagnosed with chronic health conditions.
Chronic health conditions are the leading causes of disability and death in society and public health today. Although common and costly, many chronic health conditions are also preventable and are linked to lifestyle choices such as diet, physical activity, stress management, smoking and substance abuse.
Complementary therapies including reflexology have an important role to play in prevention and management of chronic health conditions and this certified CPPD program will develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice for reflexology and chronic health conditions. Furthermore, you will develop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide reflexology for chronic health conditions.

- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Cystic fibrosis
- Diabetes
- Eating disorders
- Heart disease
- Headaches & migraines
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
- Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME)
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
Throughout this CPPD program you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to use reflexology techniques for relaxation, pain relief and to promote self-healing for your clients.
You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.
This CPPD program is approved by Westminster Indemnity.

Prerequisite: You must be a practicing reflexologist and hold a recognised level three Reflexology qualification such as VTCT, ITEC etc. You should have a caring disposition and be committed to fulfilling both practical and theory elements. You must meet the required guided learning hours (GLH) by attending our centre for the practical elements and by working through the theory elements, taking part in online discussions, assessments and reviews with your tutor and assessor via our virtual learning environment. Practical elements may be of mixed sex and learners will be required to work on each other.
Program delivery: Theory elements are covered online in your own home, in your own time and at your own pace via self study using our virtual learning environment prior to attending The Full Spectrum Centre Limited. This theory elements are perfectly suited to online delivery therefore they can be delivered and learning assessed online. You will be fully supported by your program tutor who’s role it is to help and guide you through the process from beginning to end. Both your tutor and assessor will ensure that you not only reach your goals but maintain industry and awarding body standards.
Practical elements are brought to life in a treatment room environment which enhances the learning experience. Therefore compulsory interactive treatment room sessions will be accessed by attending sessions at our centre over a period of 1 day from 10.30am – 4.30pm or 3 hours per week, evenings or weekends for 2 weeks with our specialist reflexology tutor Joanne Lee.

Virtual learning resource: Upon enrolment you will be able to login and access your program content. Simply progress through each section and lecture.
Minimum system requirement: As the program's theory content is delivered via our online virtual learning resource there are some minimum system requirements including:
- Laptop, PC or MAC
- Broadband internet connection
- Browsers IE9, IE10, IE11, Firefox, Safari or Chrome
- Adobe PDF reader
- Adobe Flash player
- Microsoft word (or equivalent)
Upon completion of both practical and theory elements a certificate of achievement will be awarded.
Additional information: All necessary materials and equipment will be provided for use during the practical elements.
Progression: This CPPD program is designed to enhance existing skills. You will also possess the skills to enable you to provide reflexology services to clients diagnosed with a chronic health condition via employment or self employment in the complementary and healthcare sector.
