Massage Training Institute

We are a member organisation, established in 1988, run by members, for members. We are a community of practitioners, growing, learning and working together.

We accredit massage schools to run our level 4 and 5 Holistic and Sports and Remedial Massage diplomas and also Indian Head Massage level 3. We represent our students, practitioners and tutors to government and the complementary therapy industry and provide continuing professional development through our schools and networks of regional groups. All members sign up to a code of professional ethics and must complete at least 18 hours of CPD per year to maintain their membership.

We promote the value of professional massage to the wider world and educate and inspire about the possibilities of holistic massage: that it can provide healing, transformation and be an integral part of a healthy, active lifestyle. Our membership is a mark of quality in the unregulated world of massage therapy.
