Training, qualifications & experience
- For 10 years, Major (retired) Nell Mead served as one of the leading physiotherapists in the British Army, and is now founder and clinical director of Victory Health & Performance. Nell is the only physiotherapist in the world to have completed full training in two pioneering approaches to physiotherapy: the Integrated Systems Model (developed by industry leaders Diane Lee and Dr LJ Lee in Canada) and the Sarah Key Method (developed by Sarah Key, physiotherapist to The Queen). This extensive training, combined with a postgraduate diploma in Sports & Exercise Medicine, gives Nell a unique insight into the body and has allowed her to develop her proven RSM Model that underpins Victory’s reputation. Since opening Victory Health & Performance, Nell has been building a reputation as the therapist to see when nobody else has been able to fix you; her expertise is sought out by patients worldwide (from New Zealand to Australia, Germany to the USA and all over the UK).
- Isabel Artigues is the first physiotherapist in London to receive an MSc in Performing Arts Medicine from University College London, and specialises in the assessment and treatment of injuries to performing arts professionals. Formerly a flautist with the Barcelona Conservatoire of Music, Isabel has a strong understanding of the demands that a career in dance, music and the arts place on the body, and can therefore provide treatments that are effective and above all relevant to performers’ specific needs. Isabel’s multilingual skill set, including fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan, make her the perfect physiotherapist for the global city of London.
Sports massage and exercise rehabilitation:
People can be apprehensive about returning to training following pain or injury. Even when the physiotherapist has helped the initial problem to be resolved, there is often a concern of the pain or injury reoccurring. Rehabilitation therapist Helen Murawska can provide the link between finishing physiotherapy and returning to exercise safely and confidently. Helen provides sports massage and exercise programmes to help you improve your mobility, stability, balance, and strength. This is to ensure that the newly improved movement patterns that your physiotherapist has created can be maintained in the long term - reducing the risk of re-injury, and improving performance. One of the very first therapists to complete an MSc in Sport Rehabilitation, Helen will supervise you every step of the way to ensure that you seamlessly transition back to sport.
- Physiotherapist Anna Hlavsova’s sports massage and exercise programmes will help you gain strength, mobility, flexibility, control and get back to what you love doing. Because everyone’s body is different, Anna is a firm believer in making each course of treatment unique to each individual, to get the best results.
- Dr Victor Thompson is a clinical psychologist with a diploma in sports psychology. He also competes for Ireland in iron man triathlons. On the health side he's great at helping you cope with stress; on the performance side he can help you achieve levels of performance you never thought possible.
