Osteopathy is a system of manual therapy that works on the basis that the health of the body depends on the health of the structure of the body relying on the fluid movement of bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissue to ensure good working balance. We work with massage, articulation, and manipulation to release tension and improve mobility in joints and enhance blood and neurological supply to tissues.
We treat a wide variety of people from all walks and stages of life: Pregnant and post partum women, office workers, sports people, dancers, musicians, elderly, children.
Importantly we aim to treat the person and not exclusively the condition, always striving to find the root cause of a problem rather than focus purely on the symptoms so we look at how your body has adapted to the challenges placed upon it, be it postural, traumatic injury, stress or natural progression of age.
We can help relieve the symptoms of:
Back pain, disc injuries and sciatica
Neck pain and whiplash
Migraines and headaches
Arthritis and Joint pain
Shoulder pain and frozen shoulder
And much more.
