Homeopathy means "Like Cures Like", or - a substance that can produce certain symptoms in a healthy person can also heal the same symptoms in a sick person. By taking a detailed history of you and your condition, and by building up a picture of YOU we can find the remedy most suited to support you - a unique person - and encourage your body to start a healing process.
It is a completely holistic process and aims to improve your constitutional strength so you can reach your optimum health.
Homeopathic remedies are incredibly dilute and work at a sub-molecular level, so they are non toxic and safe for babies and pregnant women.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a graduate of the London School of Classical Homeopathy, where I studied for 4 years, and registered with the Society of Homeopaths, through which I am fully insured.
I have practised from my home in Westcliff on Sea since qualifying in 2008 and also from the Brentwood Osteopathic Centre in Brentwood on Thursdays.
The initial consultation takes about 1.5 hours and the cost for this is £50. Remedies are usually included in this fee, as are any necessary phone calls between appointments.
Follow up appointments are usually 4-6 weeks later, last about 45 minutes and the charge is £35. It is important to keep follow up appointments to be sure your treatment is going in the right direction and no alterations need to be made. Some symptoms improve quicker than others so it can be discouraging if a "quick fix" is not achieved.
Children's appointments are charged at the same rate but I do offer a reduced family rate.
Advice is offered by telephone for acute conditions such as sore throats, fever etc and charged at a pro rata rate.
Home visits can be arranged if necessary.
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
