Stephanie has been working in the therapies industry for 9 years. She now works in private practice and specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Stephanie's particular interest is working holistically with clients and drawing on her knowledge of different medical systems and bodywork techniques to really help people address not just the symptoms they are experiencing but also the underlying causes.
A course of physiotherapy with Stephanie is very hands-on and you can expect to engage in a package of treatment combining manual therapy for the affected joints and soft tissues with things such as targeted exercises, self release techniques, education to aid recovery, advice about orthotics/ ergonomic equipment, postural education and re-alignment work.
She may also incorporate Chinese medicine diagnostics into the assessment and use complementary therapies such as acupuncture/ acupressure, Thai massage or reiki in the treatment if these are needed.
In addition to her physiotherapy work, she has developed specialist massage treatments for cyclists, runners and office workers. As with all her treatments they are bespoke and combine the most effective bodywork techniques to produce the best results for you.

TheTao Medical Massage
It involves a holistic assessment and then full body massage which incorporates deep tissue and physiotherapy techniques to address musculoskeletal problems. Thai and acupressure massage are used to clear stagnated energy and rebalance mind & body. The treatment ends with an abdominal massage to invigorate the bodies waste eliminating system and help with constipation or bloating. This is a potent mix of techniques that integrates eastern and western medicine and bodywork for a more holistic treatment.
Deep Abdominal/ Colon Massage
This works deeply over the abdomen to stimulate the colon peristalsis and clear blockages, it is very good for treating sluggish bowel and constipation. The treatment also helps with anxiety and clarifying the skin. If you are suffering constipation the treatment can be quite uncomfortable until the blockage has cleared.
FULL BODY TREATMENTS
Sports/ Deep Tissue Massage
Using soft tissue mobilising, muscle energy techniques, myofascial release and manual lymphatic drainage this is an ideal treatment for sports people and those who prefer deeper pressure in massages.
Slow light-medium pressure soft tissue mobilising is used to ease muscular tension and deeply relax you. This is combined with myofascial release, gentle passive stretches and Indian head massage to bring a sense of harmony to mind & body.
Thai Table Massage
A twist on the traditional Thai massage, this treatment works along the bodies energy pathways to unblock stagnations which will help to relieve pain and emotional stress. This is a deep treatment that is performed whilst you remain fully clothed. You will be treated on a massage couch which many people find more comfortable than floor based Thai treatment.
