I have been working as a Sports Massage Therapist and Pilates Teacher in Reading and Caversham for over six years now. I love the way my two skills can help people lead the lives they want to lead, doing the sports they love, training as hard as they want to and recovering from injuries (when they do occur) as quickly as possible. I treat office workers, van drivers, busy mums, athletes and people from every walk of life. In my own free time I enjoy running and swimming as well as fitting in some Pilates exercise myself and I like to be outdoors whenever possible.
What is Sports Massage?
Sports Massage simply means using hand-on massage therapy techniques to try to “remedy” a problem. But to offer a remedy you must do more than just relieve pain; you must also be able to understand how the problem came about and how it can be avoided in the future. Therefore I use a range of massage and soft tissue techniques to help effectively with a variety of musculoskeletal problems and to help in recovery and reduce the symptoms in many medical conditions.
