Based at Cotswold Health centre, Stroud - Siobhan Allen offers Deep-tissue massage, Holistic massage and Cranio-sacral Therapy.
These therapies are aimed to assist a deep state of relaxation and release of stress.
Deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Deep tissue massage is based on Swedish massage but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and is concentrated on areas of tension and pain. Deep tissue massage works by breaking down adhesions in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Adhesions often occur after injury and can result in pain, inflamation and loss of movement and are released by direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles.
Holistic massage and Cranio-sacral Therapy:
Through our felt body sensations, we are able to slow down our mind. Beneath our mind is our innate stillness. By tuning in to this stillness we find a deep peace which leads us back to wholeness.
Using techniques from holistic massage and Cranio-sacral therapy Siobhan combines an integrated bodywork to help with stress, anxiety or the need for deeper relaxation.
