I studied for my first BSc degree in Nursing in Toronto, Canada. After finishing my studies I worked in both Canada and USA where I gained extensive clinical experience in surgical, cancer and mental health fields. However, my experience demonstrated that my conventional training focused on either the physical or mental rather than the whole person.
Many of my patients had symptoms on both levels and I felt my training and skills lacked the ability to treat my patients as an integrated whole - physical, spiritual and mentally.
After being introduced to Acupuncture by my NHS consultant and feeling the effects of this amazing therapy firsthand I decided to retrain as an Acupuncturist with the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading.
Acupuncture is a 2000 year old therapy, that works by rebalancing the Energy or Qi in the body. Believing that blockages in the flow of Qi leads to ill health and the best way to treat people is through an understanding of both the illness and the nature of the person suffering from the illness.
The benefits of Acupuncture has recently been featured in many news articles including a recent BBC2 program "Trust me I am a Doctor."
The National Institute of Clinical Excellence and World Health Organisation also recommends Acupuncture for a range of conditions.
I am general practitioner, practicing both TCM and Five Element Acupuncture styles. This enables me to adapt my treatment methods to suit my patient's needs. As a Chinese Medicine practitioner I have a variety of tools at my disposal including acupuncture pins, I also use Chinese massage Tui Na, Cupping or Gua Sha treatments.

I am a holistic therapist and will not only treat conditions that bring you to my practice but any other signs of ill health I see before it becomes a bigger issue. I view the body as a whole organism and believe that preventative and maintenance care can help to reduce or minimise serious illness.
My practice is located in Wimbledon and Putney, SW19 and in Stoneleigh, Ewell, KT19. I also run a Community Multibed Clinic, Wednesday evenings 5pm - 8pm at St Paul's Community Centre, Inner Park Road, SW19 6ED
