About me

Sarah Attwell-Griffiths is a qualified, accredited and experienced acupuncturist providing professional acupuncture treatment in Cirencester. At Corinium Acupuncture, she offers evening and weekend appointments, on-line appointment bookings, and card payment facilities.

Conditions that Sarah treats
As a traditional acupuncturist, Sarah aims to activate your body's own healing mechanisms. This means that treatment is effective for a wide range of conditions, as well as symptoms with no conventional medical diagnosis like low energy and poor sleep. NICE recommends acupuncture for chronic pain, back and neck pain, knee pain, headaches and migraines. Many of Sarah's patients also see her for help with fertility, difficulties during pregnancy (such as morning sickness), stress, anxiety (and conditions exacerbated by anxiety like IBS), and depression.

Can acupuncture help you?
If you are unsure if acupuncture can help you, you can book a free 15-minute assessment at Corinium Acupuncture. During the assessment, Sarah will ask questions about your condition or symptoms and examine any areas of discomfort. If acupuncture is suitable for you, she will discuss the benefits you are likely to experience and estimate the number of treatments you are likely to need. You can then take your time to decide whether you would like to go ahead with treatment. If acupuncture is not suitable for you, Sarah may recommend a different therapy that may be suitable.

Other benefits
Sarah invests time in identifying and treating the root cause of your symptoms, so you are likely to feel improvements in both your main complaint and other apparently unrelated symptoms. In particular, you are likely to sleep better and feel happier in yourself.

Sarah may give you therapeutic exercises to do at home, similar to those recommended by physiotherapists. She may also discuss changes that you can make to your diet and lifestyle that will benefit your particular condition.

Referral for other therapies
Sarah may refer you to a qualified local practitioner if you might benefit from complementary therapies other than acupuncture, such as chiropractic or nutrition therapy.
