The Alexander Technique relieves pain and improves posture by teaching you how to release unnecessary tension, and by rebuilding strength in core muscles which are not working to their full potential.
It can help reduce or prevent backache and other aches and pains, RSI and general symptoms of stress. It is also used by musicians, actors and sports persons to improve performance.
As a teacher of the Technique, I help you to discover 'body-mindfulness in activity', to become more aware of how you do things, and how you could carry out your daily activities with more ease and less effort.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed a three year training course at Fellside Alexander School in Cumbria, accredited by STAT (the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique), and have been teaching individuals, groups and workshops for organisations in Edinburgh for eight years.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Technique and how it could help you, please have a look at my website and contact me.
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
