About me

Reiki comes from the Japanese words, Rei, meaning the “Spirit” and Ki, which is energy. It is used to describe a universal life force that flows through us all and also a system of natural healing.

In its long history, Reiki has aided in healing many illnesses and injuries. It works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

It is a gentle and uplifting, non-invasive therapy, ideal for those who are nervous, uncomfortable or unable to be touched and does not require the client to remove their clothing.

Training, qualifications & experience

Following a life- long interest in Holistic Healing I have studied a range of therapies and techniques over the years and hold a NCFE Level IIII Diploma as an Holistic Health Therapist as well  being a Usui Reiki Practitioner Level II.

I currently offer treatments in Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology.

I am a member of both the UK Reiki Federation and BABTAC.

Other available therapies

Indian Head Massage

The techniques were originally developed by Indian women to help keep the hair and skin strong, but in the West it has been adopted to treat symptoms of stress and fatigue, being especially beneficial to those who spend a lot of time at a desk.  As well as relaxing, it is an invigorating and refreshing experience, restoring a state of balance through the body's natural healing process.

As the massage is carried out upper body, head and face only, the client can remain fully clothed and treatment may be undertaken anywhere.

Reflexology is a holistic treatment that can be traced to back to the ancient civilizations of Egypt, India and China.

Similar to acupressure and acupuncture, reflexology works by appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the hands or feet which correspond to different body organs and systems.  This in turn has a beneficial effect on the person's general health.

Reflexology is a lovely stand alone treatment which complements both traditional and holistic therapies.
