Since 2005, my work as PH Therapies has been complimented with the position of Treatment Manager at the Urdang Academy. Urdang is one of the leading colleges for vocational dance and musical theatre training in London and this is where PH Therapies is now based.
As Treatment Manager for Urdang I am responsible for the injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of over 300 students. Also for Urdang, I act as Artistic Director, which involves overseeing all full scale musical theatre and dance performances that are included within the students’ course of training.
PH Therapies also offers a service called Aroma Blending:
Aroma blending produces bespoke skin care products that are aroma active, natural and freshly blended to suit your preferred scent or to help treat an aliment. I use approximately 60 essential oils and 20 vegetable oils in the blending process making the aroma combinations hugely varied.
I blend the oils in base products sourced from natural suppliers. You can select organic base products or natural ones. All natural bases are paraben free, without sodium laureth sulfate, hypo-allergenic, non-comedogenic and produced without causing cruelty to animals.
Most natural skin care products on the market utilise a high number of essential oils meaning that the concentration of the blending is very low and therefore the therapeutic value is also low. I believe that using aroma active products blended with a small number of essential oils (3-5) in a 2.5% to 5% ratio is of a much higher therapeutic value than saturating the base with several oil combinations. The skin is therefore absorbing a higher concentration of the essential oil properties.
Aroma blending is a fantastic way to continue your treatment at home and it compliments all the therapies on offer from PH Therapies.
PH Therapies is located within walking distance from both Angel (Northern Line) and Farringdon (Circle | Metropolitan | Hammersmith and City lines) tube stations. Bus links are well situated on Rosebery Avenue. Route numbers 38, 341 and 19 have stops directly at the front of The Old Finsbury Town Hall. If catching the bus, the stop where you need to disembark is called Tysoe street (South bound) or Hardwick Street (North bound).
All clients need to sign in at the reception. Once signed in, the receptionist will call me to confirm your arrival. I will come to reception and bring you down to the treatment room to commence your session. Please arrive on time and be ready for your treatment. If you need to have a shower prior to your treatment facilities are available at The Old Finsbury Town Hall. Please arrive with ample time to freshen up prior to your treatment.
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
