Kinesiology can help boost your general health and well-being or you can use it to deal with a specific problem, such as losing weight, aches and pains, hormonal or energy imbalances, digestive problems, relationship issues or a lack of confidence; in other words, whatever is stopping you from achieving what you want and feeling full of energy and vitality. Use it to clear stressful events from the past, sort out long-standing health problems, deal with worries you have right now, or prepare yourself for a forthcoming event that's causing anxiety, such as an interview. You can find out what supplements suit you, or whether there are some foods you'd be better off without. You can also take kinesiology workshops and courses, whether for general interest, self-development or working with clients or patients.
Kinesiology uses muscle-testing to identify and correct imbalances in your body's energy. These imbalances may relate to stress, injury, nutrition, learing difficulties, pain, anxiety or some other cause. By testing various muscles we can get a read-out of what is happening on all levels: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, nutritional etc. Your body then chooses (indicating with muscle responses) what it needs to get better. Kinesiology is gentle, non-invasive and pain-free. It enables you to find solutions, resolve stress, remove pain and move forward to achieve your potential.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Professional Kinesiology Practitioner and Member of the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (Senior Practitioner) with the Institute of Complementary & Natural Medicine, and an Advanced Registered Practitioner with the Kinesiology Federation. I am also a Thought Field Therapy Practitioner, Kinesiopractor® and K-Power® Instructor.
I began training in 2000 and in 2004 completed the Diploma of Professional Kinesiology Practice and, more recently, the International Post-Graduate Diploma of Kinesiopractic®. My training includes many other courses, such as Touch for Health, Thought Field Therapy, Reiki, Homeopathy, Biokinetic Exercises, Anatomy and Physiology and RESET (for tempero-mandibular joint (TMJ) related problems).
Over the years I have worked with a large number of people and problems - each person is very much an individual and no kinesiology session is alike!
I also teach the International Certificate in Professional Kinesiology Practice, as well as 13 K-Power® workshops (which cover a range of subjects such as testing and correcting groups of muscles, stress release techniques, Tibetan Healing Energy, face-reading, co-dependency and New Zealand Flower Essences) and three one-day Sustainable Self® kinesiology courses.
I have given many talks to various groups, associations and companies, such as the WI, Association of Crohn's & Colitis, Women in International Trade, Women in Business and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. I have full professional indemnity insurance, take regular First Aid courses and have been CRB-checked.
