I offer an individual-centred approach to healthcare. Employing assessment using kinesiology, and intervention with homeopathy, nutritional recommendations and gentle physical adjustments, I can assist patients to optimise their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Supporting equilibrium is the key focus of both kinesiology and homeopathy, which in turn recognise that diet and lifestyle are important influencing factors and may need to be addressed.
The use of systematic kinesiology allows me to investigate and prioritise health imbalances. This ensures targeted prescriptions which avoid the waste and expense of inappropriate products. The goals of treatment are to support the achievement of optimum energy and mood, balanced hormone levels and body chemistry, good detoxification processes and gastrointestinal health, along with healthy blood-sugar levels and tolerance to a broad range of food groups.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been an Ophthalmic Optician for over 20 years and, having listened to the broad range of symptoms that patients experience, I have developed an interest in a more holistic approach to health. I have been practising privately as a Homeopath since I qualified in 2002, following 4 years of classical training. While in Northern Ireland, I also worked within the NHS for a year as part of a successful government project where GPs were able to refer patients with stress or depression for homeopathic treatment. I subsequently went on to complete a Foundation Practitioner Course and an Advanced Diploma in Systematic Kinesiology and now use both disciplines in my practice.
- BSc (Hons) Ophthalmic Optics; MCOptom (1990)
- Licentiate of the London School of Classical Homeopathy (2002)
- Foundation Kinesiology Practitioner Course (2009)
- Advanced Diploma in Systemic Kinesiology (2011)
I am a member of the Society of Homeopaths.
By choosing a homeopath registered with the SOH, you can be confident that they are properly trained, qualified and insured. You can check whether a homeopath is registered with the Society of Homeopaths by searching the register at www.homeopathy-soh.org. I have additional insurance through Balens to cover all other aspects of my treatments.
Initial Consultation and Treatment £70.
Follow-up Assessment and Treatment £50.
An assessment and treatment usually lasts 1 hour, however I allow an hour and a half on the first visit to leave adequate time for case taking.
Homeopathic remedies, if prescribed, cost £5 per remedy.
Nutritional supplements may also be recommended. Discounts are available to Health Transition patients.
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
