Life’s situations and stresses can take their toll and lead to symptoms such as, fatigue, aches and pains, headaches, problems with sleeping, anxiety and/or low mood. Or it may be that you would like support with the menopause, Pre-menstrual Syndrome, or with pregnancy.

Reflexology, Relaxation Sessions, Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head Massage and Reiki

Can provide safe and gentle ways to ease symptoms and give you the support you need

Precision Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient holistic technique that aims to activate the body’s natural potential for healing. Applying specific pressure/massage techniques on the reflex points, encourages the release of tension and energy blockages, the correction of imbalances and the elimination of toxins. This gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself.

Reflexology can help: -

  • Increase circulation
  • Stimulate the nervous system
  • Provide pain relief
  • Restore balance within the body
  • Improve immunity and blood pressure irregularities
  • Improve fertility and enhance pregnancy
  • Balance hormones, which may help with PMS, an irregular menstrual cycle and the menopause
  • Ease insomnia, digestive diseases and IBS
  • Ease back pain, general muscular aches and pains and headaches
  • Ease arthritis, asthma and sinus problems

Reflexology helps to induce deep relaxation, which can be soothing for many ailments and conditions and as such, can be a powerful therapy for any stress-related disorders.

Relaxation Sessions

Using Hypnosis to enhance relaxation and well-being

Our lives can be so busy at times that we just keep going to the detriment of our body and mind as we put our well-being at the bottom of our list of things to do! These sessions allow you the space just for you and uses hypnosis which gently guides you into a deeply relaxed state.

Stress can be lowered and a sense of calm and control is restored to our lives with a feeling of being refreshed and revitalised. Relaxation is an essential part of survival and good health and with regular practice we can feel the benefits long after our relaxation sessions have finished.

The sessions may also provide:-

  • Information on simple relaxation, mindfulness, meditation and self- hypnosis techniques
  • A relaxation CD, to use at home.

These strategies can be effective in lowering stress, raising mood and improving sleep. Please see website for more information and for an excerpt of a relaxing CD.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is a caring, hands-on therapy which seeks to induce relaxation, to increase energy, to reduce the effects of stress and balance the mind, body and soul. It uses essential oils extracted from plants and herbs, which possess strong therapeutic properties and can have a wonderful effect on the emotions. Essential oils are blended in a vegetable oil and applied in a relaxing massage. Treatments are holistic and take into account each individual’s state of health and being. Massage is healing and health giving because problems and pains are shared with another person in a caring, confidential and focused environment.

Combining the benefits of essential oils with those of therapeutic massage can relax tired tense muscles, promote circulation, calm the nerves and leave one with a lovely sense of peace and well-being.

Indian Head Massage

Massage has always been an important part of Indian family life. Indian Head Massage is a treatment that has evolved from traditional techniques that have been practiced in Indian families over hundreds of years.

Massage, gentle pressure point work, together with energy work are used on the upper back, shoulders and arms, followed by the neck, scalp, head and face. This wonderful massage therapy forms a deeply de-stressing programme for the whole body, mind and spirit. The treatment is carried out with the individual seated in a chair. To enhance the treatment further, the use of aromatherapy oils, chosen for each individual, can also be used on the neck, face and scalp.

Hopi Ear Candles

Using Biosun Hopi ear candles. A deeply relaxing treatment which can help to relieve congestion in the sinus and ears. The treatment includes some gentle relaxing massage of the face scalp and neck to encourage lymphatic drainage and relaxation.

This is a wonderful, gentle treatment and a natural method of hands on healing that encourages the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Reiki was discovered in Japan 100 years ago and literally means universal life force energy.

When our energy is depleted we are more susceptible to the effects of sickness and stress and when our energy is restored, we are more capable of being healthy and happy on all levels.

Reiki treatments can help to:-

  • Accelerate the body's self-healing abilities
  • Calm the mind and emotions
  • Enhance personal growth
  • Increase energy levels
  • Induce a state of deep relaxation
  • Reduce stress, tension and anxiety levels
  • Clear energy blockages and adjust the energy flow, bringing the body into balance and harmony
  • Develop a positive attitude
  • Raise levels of confidence and self-esteem
  • Improve sleep

Reiki can help with restoring physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance (the root of all dis-ease being imbalance). This is a soothing treatment, which aims to release stress, promote deep healing and increase a sense of calm, security and well-being.

Drawing on my experience and training in several complementary therapies, my aim is to be able to offer you individualised treatment and care, depending on your needs, in order to enhance your health and well-being.

All my work is confidential and I follow a strict code of ethics. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists.
