About us

MZ Therapy can help you restore movement and physical alignment via different therapeutic applications;

  • The Rolf method of Structural Integration
  • Massage therapy
  • Yoga therapy

Madeleine has been working full time as a therapist since 2001 and has a wide variety of experience of clients - from office workers suffering low back, shoulder pain and key board related injuries; to dancers - Billy Elliot Show London; to musicians - members of the London Symphony Orchestra; to 5 * relaxation treatments at the 5* Hotels around London - special clients Pierce Brosnan and Adnant Kashoggi.
If your movement and physical ease has been compromised through injury, sporting activities or life long vocations; - MZ Therapy can help you.

The Rolf method - works to release myofascial restrictions around the body, improving postural alignment, and releasing pain and strain patterns in the process.  One works with a series of sessions that progressively work through the body.   Fantastic for old injuries, vocational postures that have become permanent, and a mid-life MOT.    An initial assessment and intake looks at your movement ability at the feet/ hips/ back and head, taking into account any injuries or vocational influence; followed by 90 minute sessions that work to enhance movement and balance in these areas.  Come and try an initial session to experience myofascial work.

Massage Therapy - Madeleine offers Sports massage for more specific musculo-skeletal issues, or Deep Tissue massage for stress reduction and general relaxation. She also specialises in helping those suffering from  Anxiety, through a specifically tailored session using acupressure to balance meridians, chakra work to balance the main centres of the body and cranio-sacral techniqes for over all balance.

Yoga therapy - Personalised yoga instruction that takes into consideration your starting point - posture, injury history and mobility; your goals and lifestyle.  A common goal is to have improved ease of movement, balance & flexibility; along with physiological and emotional wellness.  Madeleine teaches what is considered an integrated practise - using conscious breathing as an essential component of movement into and out of postures.  We all need help to breathe well, something which fundamentally - helps to balance the nervous system, and provide tools for calmer emotions.  The end goal of Yoga is balance in all its dimensions, self  embodiment and empowerment.   All sessions are 1 on 1 and involve a prior assessment and intake followed by individual tutoring.  Available at Madeleine's home studio in Stanton Prior, where she also offers group classes.

MZ Therapy does not deal with acute injuries.

About MZ Therapy

Madeleine started working in London as a full time massage therapist in 2001. She has worked  with a variety of clients, from anyone walking through the door, to city workers with postural and RSI issues; to horse riders with a host of injury scenarios; to dancers and musicians, with performance related injuries and stress; to those with spinal injuries; to five star relaxation treatments.  Special clients – Pierce Brosnan & Adnan Kashoggi.

Her vocation in bodywork and desire to see people functioning at their physical best has lead her to train in a variety of healing modalities, all of which spread different light  and wisdom on the multi-dimensionality of the human body.  Her interest in yoga started as a desire to understand physical alignment from the inside out, and the practice of correct movement patterns that encourages joint congruence and mobility. The Rolf method with its emphasis on restoring alignment and movement  through myofascial work is an extension of this, and a beacon of hope for all those whose physical bodies have been compromised by injury, trauma or vocation.

Formerly a professional classical musician, her interest in body work and natural health began whilst writing her dissertation on Stress and Relaxation, for her BSc in Human Sciences, University College London.  Being a keen traveller, she has lived and worked in Europe, S-E Asia and Africa, and spent long periods in India, where she has been studying  and practising yoga.

She offers:

  • Structural Integration treatments
  • Remedial massage treatments
  • Yoga therapy sessions
  • On site chair massage for private functions
  • On TOUR - where her multidisciplinary skills may be required to cater for different occasions.
