Do your muscles feel painful or tight? Are you preparing for a sports event? Or would you simply just like to relax? We can help you at Muscle Point Therapy!
- Sports massage Sports massage can help to eliminate or reduce pain, promote recovery from muscular strain and injuries, improve your body alignment and biomechanics, increase your flexibility and boost your sports performance. A less intensive sports massage is also used to warm up before and cool down after a sports event. A sports massage generally includes trigger point therapy, myofascial release, active release techniques and PNF stretching.
Remedial massage This type of massage can help to eliminate or reduce pain, promote recovery from muscular strain, improve your body alignment and increase your flexibility. Remedial massage mainly differs from sports massage in the level of specificity and the techniques that are used. In remedial massage the focus is more on general deep tissue techniques and stretching.
Swedish massage This is probably the best known relaxation massage. Swedish massage can help to improve your blood circulation, lower your blood pressure, elevate your mood and combat insomnia. Techniques used in the treatment are long flowing strokes, frictions, kneading and percussion type movements.
Lomi lomi massage A lomi lomi (also known as Hawaiian) massage is the ultimate relaxation massage. The rhythmic and flowing techniques combined with the amazing feeling and smell of coconut oil can help you to completely relax body and mind, improve your blood circulation and stretch your muscles.
Aromatherapy massage In this type of massage essential oils are used to help the body that little bit more. Typical aromatherapy massage techniques are very gentle. From experience, most clients prefer more pressure which is why we designed our own massage style that can incorporate Swedish, lomi lomi and remedial techniques.
Corporate massage A corporate massage is an on-site massage for a larger group of people. It can help the team by reducing the stress levels, increasing the energy levels, boosting the productivity and improving the morale.
Why choose us
The most important reason to choose Muscle Point Therapy is commitment and passion. We do everything we can to help our clients. This means that we actively listen to you, thoroughly assess your body, tailor the treatment completely to your situation and give you advice where necessary. We don’t stop caring when we leave the treatment room either. Instead, we use our free time to study and look for better ways to help you (check out our blog!). As a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, we are also continuously assessing and improving our massage standard.
And then there is the practical stuff! We like things to be clear and easy. We take pride in our website and make sure there is enough information on it for our clients and members of the public. We also offer online bookings so you can easily book your massage whenever you want. On top of that we can send you booking reminders so you don’t miss your appointment!
And last but not least: a beautiful environment. We strongly believe that the massage environment should be as good as the massage itself. This means that we invest in a spacious and clean treatment room for you and work with fresh towels and the best quality products.
