Mountsorrel Physiotherapy is a Specialist Community Physiotherapy Service based in Mountsorrel, providing treatment to patients across Leicester and Leicestershire.
This Specialist Community Service is designed to make Physiotherapy treatment more accessible to people in the area.
Training, qualifications & experience
BSc Hons Applied Sports Science studied at Loughborough University gained 1:1 Classification
BSc Hons Physiotherapy studied at University of Leicester/ Coventry University gained 1:1 Classification
Ashley is an experienced Community Physiotherapist treating patients with a variety of complex conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease and Motor Neuron Disease to name a few.
Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Ashley Studied a Bachelor of Science with honours Degree in Applied Sports Science at Loughborough University. He then went onto study a Bachelor of Science with honours Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Leicester, achieving a First Class honours classification in both fields.
Ashley started working in the NHS for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) in Leicester City as a Band 5 Paediatric Community Physiotherapist. His clinical caseload was diverse treating children with mild development delay right through to children with Cerebral Palsy require twenty-four hour postural management care.
He then went onto work for the Adult Community Therapy department in Leicester City as a Band 5 Community Physiotherapist rotating between five specialties including the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service where he completed one of his rotations.
Ashley then secured a post as a Senior Community Physiotherapist within the same service expanding his role between clinical and managerial responsibilities, ensuring both junior and unqualified members are staff are supported in their role. Ashley also takes a keen interest in service development and recruitment.
From the experience he has gained within his specialism, this has allowed him to progress into the private sector and create Mountsorrel Physiotherapy. Ashley aims to provide both patient centered and affordable Community Physiotheapy to patients in Leicester and Leicestershire.

Appointments outside of these times may be available upon request, please ask.
I am a Community Physiotherapist therefore all appointments take place at your home or business.
Initial assessment £45 - 45 minute duration.
Follow up £40 - 30-45 minute duration.
Mountsorrel Physiotherapy currently only accepts cash or cheque payments which are payable at the end of each session. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accept payment by card.

No waiting times
Unlike NHS waiting lists where patients can wait between 3 and 6 months for an initial assessment depending on their need, Mountsorrel Physiotherapy has no waiting lists. We can usually offer you an appointment within 1 week of contact.
Mountsorrel Physiotherapy take a whole person approach, gathering and discussing information with you in order to develop an understanding of your needs. Your entire well-being is discussed - physical, emotional, psychological, social and environmental. All aspects are considered when writing a treatment plan and setting achievable goals specific to you.
No initial assessment cancellation charges
Mountsorrel Physiotherapy prides itself on offering a no initial assessment cancellation charge. We understand that you may need to cancel you appointment for a variety of different reasons, however we would ask that you try and provide at least 24 hours notice.
*The appointment fee will still be chargeable for cancelled follow up appointments if less than 24 hour notice is given.
