About me

Hello, I'm Michelle Hillier and I provide a mobile Bowen Therapy Service in and around the Hexham area, or alternatively, at my home.

Bowen therapy is a gentle hands-on remedial treatment which stimulates the body's own natural healing process.

The treatment is gentle and non-invasive, and very specific and precise. It consists of the therapist making gentle moves over certain points of the body to encourage change. Breaks are inserted between moves to allow the body to process and respond.

Respecting these breaks is an essential part of the Bowen technique, as it allows the body time to respond and restore it's own natural balance.

Clients report relief of pain, often noticing improvement in function and energy levels .

The Bowen Technique may assist in recovery from acute and chronic conditions and it is available to everyone from newborns to the elderly and frail. Conditions addressed by Bowen have included:

  • Back pain

  • Sciatica
