I worked as a qualified nurse for 33yrs, within the speciality of haematology. I left in 2015 to start my own business as a Bowen Practitioner.
- I work within The Pilates Studio, Yarm as part of a multidisciplinary team of holistic practitioners and teachers in Pilates and meditation, on Mondays and Wednesday's, occasionally treating from home.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualified nurse since 1982, BSc (Hons), certificates in counselling, coaching, haematology, chemotherapy, teaching and assessing and management and leadership.
Qualified as a Bowen Practitioner in 2015; additional workshops with CBS

Bowen is a holistic therapy: with the therapist using gentle rolling moves over muscle, tissues and tendons, to encourage the clients own body to initiate a healing process. Short breaks between moves are unique to to the Bowen technique, which allows the clients body to respond to the moves.Clients often come for a treatment for one problem and find that they benefit in other areas, i.e. their sleep quality improves, or a change physically or emotionally has occurred.
Bowen is not meant to replace conventional medicine.
