I tailor my treatments to your needs and work intuitively around the body tuning into the areas that require more attention. The usual areas of tension are the upper back, shoulders and neck going up into the head. I can combine a mixture of reflexology and back massage if that is all you require.
You will feel immediately relaxed once you step into my treatment room with the soothing music, candles and heated couch. I endeavour to make sure that all my clients leave my treatment room feeling they have had the treatment they came in for. Melt away all your stresses, aches and pains with any one of my treatments and feel rejuvenated and energised once again. You deserve it.
A bit about me - I am a fully qualified therapist having done my initial training in Galway, Ireland. I obtained my ITEC Diplomas in Anatomy Physiology & Body Massage and Aromatherapy in 1997 and 1999 respectively.
I completed Reiki level 1 and level 2 in1998/99 studying The Tera Mai System of Reiki. Other experiences I had were attending workshops to learn the Muhune Technique of Facial Rejuvenation and hands free massage.
During my time working for a top five star hotel and spa in Ayrshire, Scotland I obtained Diplomas in Indian Head Massage and Reflexology and various in-house body treatment certificates, including wraps, scrubs and facials.
After two years I moved to South Wales to another top five star hotel where I worked for four years. During this time I further advanced my skills and experience by training to work with hot stones.
The stones are made from basalt, which originates from the cooling molten lava of a volcano. They hold their heat during the massage. The heat penetrates deeper into the muscle allowing the muscle to relax and for deeper pressure to be applied. It can also be a very relaxing massage with your body being enveloped in relaxing heat.
Whilst I was at this hotel I went part time so that I could attended college in South Wales for two years gaining my teacher training certificate in Holistic Therapies. I run workshops on Indian Head Massage and Reflexology.
In December 2015 I completed my Infant Massage Instructor Course through Teach Therapy in South Wales. I do group or one to one sessions teaching parents how to massage their baby. The movements are gentle and non invasive. These movements will help parents and baby bond together through touch, smell and sound. It will become a two way communication between parent and child. The other benefits are of course helping baby with colic and other stresses.
