Professional, caring and highly experienced, I work and run my beautiful, relaxing consulting room just opposite leafy Golders Hill Park. I offer Traditional Chinese Acupuncture & Reflexology treatments covering all aspects of health.
My skills set is broad - I have a special interest in anxiety, women's health, infertility and IVF often treating ailments associated with pregnancy (pre-during and post). I am also trained in cupping as seen regularly on the olyimpians, trigger-point acupuncture (great for musculoskeletal problems), electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, gua sha and moxibustion. During your consultation I will listen to your needs and formulate the right treatment plan for you as an individual. I am used to working alongside medical experts in various fields and have built up good working relationships over the years with referrals being common practice. I am lucky in that I have a good team around me with a wealth of knowledge to refer to including my sister who works in the same industry as I do.
My treatments always focus on the root of your condition as well as your individual symptoms which often leads to a more lasting solution to your problem. Throughout your journey to better health I will offer continual, caring support through all your ups and downs.
For mums and dads with new borns, I offer a unique baby friendly service. I will arrange for another practitioner to be on site (my sister) so you can still get out of the house and enjoy a treatment with your baby by your side.
Flexi treatments also available for nursing mums with hungry babies so we can stop and start as needed.
As wll as for adults, I also offer reflexology services (for children suffering with anxiety and exam stress, ages 7+). Parent/guardian is always on site for the duration of the treatment for any child under sixteen.
I am an accredited Member of the British Acupuncture Council.
There is free secure off street parking outside my consulting room.
All my treatments are safe and aimed at working harmoniously alongside Western medicine.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited member of the UK regulatory body, the British Acupuncture Council having achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in traditional Chinese acupuncture and oriental medicine after training for 3 years with the University of Portsmouth.
I hold a government recognised Diploma in Reflexology which is recognised by all the leading complementary health associations. I was taught and mentored by Britain’s leading reflexology practitioner at The London School of Reflexology.
My training has granted me a broad knowledge of Western medicine and in practice I work closely alongside medical experts in a variety of fields including my sister who also specialises in my industry. I have built up strong working relationships accordingly which means I can better serve my patients and refer where necessary.

See what one of my acupuncture patients had to say. They were happy with me to share this letter.
"Dear Martine Vegoda,
On the 10th March 2011, I made with great difficulty and considerable pain, the 200 yard journey from my flat to your consulting room. I felt even older than my nearly 78 years. I was suffering severe back pain and shooting pain down my legs. I knew from the X-rays and MRI scan that my back was in a poor way. It seemed I would spend the rest of my life on pain killers and my energetic life style would have to change.
Today I am able once again to enjoy long walks and going to the gym pain free and with full mobility. In addition my wife says not only has my energy been markedly enhanced but my moods are lighter.
I attribute all these changes to your skill not only as an acupuncturist but also to your professional and empathetic presentation. I look forward to my visits, to your inviting and warm consulting room, both for the physical benefits I know I gain but also for the opportunity to relax in a nurturing atmosphere. As a psychotherapist I am very aware it is what the therapist gives of him/herself which is the most important factor in a treatment. I have a sense it is the same in your work and I feel you give so much when you are treating me. Thank you for markedly improving my happiness.
I am aware you are limited to how you are able to present your work but I would like you to use this letter in any way that will help others to be more aware of how acupuncture may help them.
Ralph (CBE), Psychotherapist - London"
And here is a testimonial from one of my reflexology patients:
I started coming for reflexology in august as a way of de-stressing from a very demanding and hectic life style. I can honestly say that it is the one day of the week that I look forward to the most for some one on one time, peace, quiet and pampering. As soon as my treatment begins I literally feel my tension and stress ease away. My whole body starts to relax even though it is only my feet being worked on. I have certainly noticed the benefits and will continue to treat myself to this wonderful therapy.
