Homeopathy is a system of medicine that has been used worldwide for over 200 hundred years. It is becoming increasingly known as a natural, safe and scientific system of healing, which helps the body heal itself. Homeopathy gently and safely treats a wide variety of mental, emotional and physical ailments in adults, children and babies.
Homeopathy is a holistic therapy and looks at the patient as a whole. In consultations I look at all aspects of a patient’s life not just at the immediate problems. For instance an outbreak of eczema may be the result of an emotional stress such as exam pressure. Conventional medicine would only look at the presenting symptoms and prescribe topical steroid creams to suppress the eruption.
However, in homeopathy we would look at the stress that led to the symptoms. Alongside the homeopathic advice and remedies given, my patients benefit from support, encouragement and advice on stress management, nutrition and ways to take care of themselves.
