Shiatsu has supported me all my adult life; it has helped me through emotional difficulties, eased physical pain and managed my stress levels.
When after 17 years of working as a campaigner in a human rights organization I decided to make a career change I didn't doubt it for a minute. Shiatsu was my new passion. My wish to be of help to other people became something more concrete and direct.
As a Shiatsu practitioner I have managed to slow down and lead a more balanced life.
I also practise yoga and Buddhist meditation.
Shiatsu increases a sense of well-being
Shiatsu is more than a massage; it is a deeply relaxing experience that works not only with the physical body but also with the emotional and mental aspects of the person.
Whether you have a specific issue such as back pain, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, insomnia or RSI; you just feel exhausted, stressed or run down, or want to give yourself a treat, a shiatsu can be very beneficial.
My clients regularly report how my Shiatsu treatments increase their sense of well-being and improve their physical, emotional and mental state. For some, a regular Shiatsu is the way to find a quiet and safe space to let go of the busyness of their lives and connect with themselves.
My treatments are tailored to the specific needs of my clients and always begin by establishing a diagnosis based on Zen and Traditional Chinese medicine theory. Each of them are therefore different and adapted to the particular issue that the client would like to address and the circumstances that the person present in that particular occasion.
I have seen again and again how Shiatsu increases a sense of well-being and can help clients with stress, neck and shoulder pain, back pain, headaches, fatigue, RSI and insomnia, among others.
"I live with a chronic condition so finding a sensitive and competent practitioner is vital. I always feel in totally safe hands with Lucia and leave each session restored, pain free and deeply relaxed. I would heartily recommend her treatments", Naomi
"I look forward to and am benefiting very much from my monthly Shiatsu treatment. As a working mum and foster carer it is difficult to find a space just for me but the Shiatsu sessions provide just this. It is a wonderfully restorative therapy and deeply relaxing. I feel absolute confidence in Lucia's abilities and she is a wonderful person. Can't recommend highly enough". Chrissy
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
