Today, acupuncture is used all over the world, and its popularity continues to grow.
Traditional Acupuncutre has been practised, in China and the Far East for thousands of years. Often described as a means of pain relief - it can treat a wide range of different conditions including joint & Muscle pains, migraine, and arthritis pain including sciatica. It has also been used to treat problems such as sinusitis, hay fever, irritable bowel, and nausea.
Acupuncture treats the body as a whole, treating not only the signs and symptoms, but also the underlying cause of the ailment. The treatments are based on strengthening the body's resilience, encouraging balance and restoring the body to optimal health and wellbeing.
I trained for 3 years at The Acupuncture Academy, in Leamington Spa and was awarded their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture. The training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese Medical and Acupuncture theory, including moxibustion, tui na, and gua-sha with a focus on the five element approach.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and t bound by their codes of safety and ethics. I carry full professional indemnity, and public liability insurance cover. The my premises are licensed by the relevant local authority/Council.
