Lawrence Stroud - Acupuncture Middlesbrough
Cleveland Business Centre
I practice a very gentle and effective style of Japanese acupuncture which uses fine needles and they are only inserted shallowly and not given strong manipulation like Chinese acupuncture, so the whole treatment is a lot less intense and strong than a normal session of Chinese TCM or medical acupuncture. Please read what my patients say about their treatment on my website.
Training, qualifications & experience
I spent 4 years studying at CICM (The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine at Reading) and at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, gaining a BSc(Hons) in Acupuncture.
My training and on-going professional development include:
- Western Medicine, including anatomy, physiology.
- Adherence to codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct and compliance with current health and safety legislation.
- Full professional indemnity, medical malpractice and public liability insurance cover.
- Up-to-date practice skills maintained through continuing professional development in Japanese acupuncture.
I now use 'Kiiko Matsumoto Style' Japanese acupuncture, which I find very effective and which uses thinner needles with much less needling pain than normal Chinese or medical acupuncture, allowing the patient to relax and enjoy the treatment.
Treatments are available at Acupuncture Middlesbrough on Fridays and Saturdays.
Sessions cost £30, and last about an hour.
