Kim Wells has been practising Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in London and Stroud, Gloucestershire for well over 25 years. Many people come to acupuncture for help with specific symptoms or to relieve specific pains like osteoarthritis of the knee. Some use acupuncture because they feel generally unwell but have no obvious diagnosis. Others choose acupuncture simply to enhance their feeling of well being. Acupuncture is considered suitable for all ages including babies and children. It can be used effectively alongside conventional medicine.
Training, qualifications & experience
Kim Wells completed a three-year training in Acupuncture in 1987 at The College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and then in 1988 took a one-year course in T.C.M. organised by the Journal of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, following a two-year intensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine, he obtained a diploma from The School of Chinese Herbal Medicine. In 1992, he completed a one-month clinical training in Herbal Medicine at a hospital in Nanjing, China. Kim has trained with Mazin Al-Khafaji, who is widely recognised as a leading Chinese herbal expert in the field of skin diseases.
Kim is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Both of these ensure that members have appropriate training and clinical experience, adhere to professional standards of safe practice and follow a strict code of professional ethics. Kim practices Acupuncture in Crouch End, London and Stroud in Gloucester.
