About me

I have been working in the Colchester area for over twenty years and I am well known and respected by local Consultants and GPs.  I am a Clinical Specialist in Women's and Men's Health although I also continue to treat all other conditions to a high standard.

What is Women's and Men's Health?

The conditions that I treat include:-

1.  Bladder and bowel issues - leakage (incontinence), frequency, urgency, getting up in the night
2.  Constipation
3.  Prolapse
4.  Pelvic pain
5.  Vaginismus (spasm of the pelvic floor muscles)
6. Post-operative breast surgery treatment

How many of you go to the toilet more than 6-7 times a day?
How many of you need to rush to get to the toilet?
How many of you do not get there in time?
How many of you leak when you cough/ sneeze/ laugh?

Be honest how many of you are suffering in silence because you are too embarassed to seek help or you feel that the problems you have are normal?

These problems are NOT normal and something CAN be done about them.

How can Physiotherapy help:

Bodyworks Physiotherapy is a Dynamic Physiotherapy practice with state of the art equipment including realtime ultrasound for pelvic floor muscle re-education.

Your treatment will include an in depth and detailed assessment.  From this I will taylor your treatment plan very specifically to your needs.  Treatment will include directed exercise programs, dietary and fluid advice, bladder training and much much more.

I am proud to say that I have high success rates and am passionate about the work that I do.

We also run Pilates classes here at the clinic and at several other sites, one to one pilates and starting soon Pilates on the Ball.

We are the only clinic in Colchester offering the revolutionary Radial Shockwave Therapy.  Visit our website for more details.

If you would like to speak to me in confidence about a problem that you may have please feel free to email me or phone me direct.

Therapies offered

Other available therapies

We offer acupuncture where indicated.  We also use realtime ultrasound scanning for pelvic floor muscle assessment which is an amazing state of the art piece of equipment.

Why not invest in a post natal 'MOT'.  Do you really know if you are doing your exercises correctly.  Come for a six week post natal check and I will assess your pelvic floor. See it working on the realtime ultrasound to get peace of mind that you're doing it right.

We also carry our bike set up assessments.

We are the only clinic in Colchester providing Radial Shockwave Therapy. This is used for treating chronic tendon problems that have not responded to other treatments, including tennis and golfers elbow, patellar and Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.

The clinc runs pilates classes, mat work and on the ball and can also offer one to one sessions.
