Naturopathy, also known as complementary medicine or therapies, uses natural means of healing which have been validated through scientific research. Naturopathy aims to bring the body back into balance treating the cause of illness, not the symptoms. This provides the body with an opportunity to begin healing.
As a Naturopathic Physician I work to support you as a whole. I acknowledge how your health concern makes you feel and how you experience it. I take into consideration biochemical interactions influenced by diet and medications, and musculoskeletal aspects of posture and breathing. This means I treat you as an individual rather than a set of symptoms. Symptoms are the body telling us that something is not right. By getting to the root of the cause and treating that rather than symptoms helps establish balance and health.
After finding the cause of the symptoms, I create an individual treatment plan for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated with a BSc in Complementary Medicine: Naturopathy from the University of Westminster achieving a 2.1 overall with a 1st in my clinic module. I am also registered with the General Council and Register of Naturopaths. My training includes diagnostics, Naturopathic nutrition, hydrotherapy, therapeutic massage, trigger point and myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, essential oil therapy, Bach Flowers and herbal medicine in the form of simple teas, poultices, plasters and packs. I am also a qualified EFT Matrix Re-Imprinting practitioner and have just started a baby massage course. This variety of modalities allows me to fully treat the individual holistically including the structural, biochemical and emotional aspects of the person.
I have acquired over 400 hours of observing and treating of patients. During the final year of my training I was a part of a care team that, with supervision, treated a variety of patients that I was both solely responsible for or supported my care team with their patients.
When treating patients alongside taking the initial consultation to gather information and understand the patients presenting complaint, I create a differential diagnosis table to ascertain the most likely medical diagnosis as well as write a Naturopathic evaluation to treat the cause not the symptom. From this an evidence based treatment plan is then devised.

I discovered Naturopathy after becoming interested in the importance of diet and its effect on health and mood.
What attracted me to Naturopathy is that it treats the whole person and the cause, not the symptoms. This is a more natural and appealing way to help people be well and healthy in today’s hectic world.
I trained as a Naturopath, as a mature student, at the University of Westminster, after previously studying History of Art at the University of Edinburgh.
The Batchelor of Science (Naturopathy) degree course involves being fully trained in health science and a range of complimentary therapies with 'hands on' training in a clinic.
I am passionate about what I do and have been amazed at the power of the therapies I use. After completing the London Marathon in 2012, I was able to walk pain free the next day because I used a hydrotherapy technique to improve muscle recovery.
I am interested in all health conditions, from chronic illness to advice on diet and lifestyle. Helping you to look after you and yourself in the best possible way is my main and most important goal.
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
