Mid Sussex Sports Massage is owned by Katie Allison. I provide professional sports and remedial massage treatments for the competitive or recreational athlete, as well as the general public, in the Mid Sussex area.
My aim is to help reduce your aches and pains, whether they have come from competitive sport, the occasional jog, digging in the garden or sitting at your desk.
Sports and remedial massage can help, it is not just for athletes!
My approach is to focus on the individual and create a treatment plan that helps you reach your goal. Whether that is helping you get rid of that nagging pain, recover from an injury or provide you with a regular MOT-style treatment. Or maybe you just want to treat yourself and give sports massage a go.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified in Sports and Remedial Massage in 2010 and I am a full member of The Sports Massage Association, Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage and also The Federation of Holistic Therapists.
I also specialise in Kinesiology Taping and have completed courses with Kinesio UK and RockTape. I am a certified Rock Doc.
I played international level lacrosse for over 10 years, competing in two world cups and it was during this time that I first came across sports massage. I experienced first hand the benefits of a good quality sports massage for reducing muscular soreness, tightness and fatigue and preventing injury. Now as a mum of two, I also know the benefits of massage to the non sports person, to reduce stress or tension and help relieve and resolve that nagging ache and pain.
