Kalla qualified with a Batchelor of Osteopathy (BOst) from the largest Osteopathic Institution in Europe, the British School of Osteopathy in 2008.
Previous to and during her osteopathic training, Kalla worked in law offices in City of London and knows the detrimental effects of poor posture and repetitive strain injury. Kalla is a firm believer that mechanical strains that are not addressed during the course of the first 3-4 decades of life, cause compressive changes within the joint capsules often leading to more than normal wear and tear (also known as osteoarthritis).
Kalla will examine your posture and try and ascertain the root of the complaining symptoms/problem. Kalla uses a variety of techniques to address symptoms including dry needling (a form of acupuncture), manipulation of joints (when you here a "pop" sound), deep tissue massage etc.
Kalla is also a keen believer in getting her patients to manage problems/symptoms by taking part in rehabilitation with exercises, stretching etc. and provides this advice at crucial stages of treatment so that full function can be achieved where possible.
