About me

I made the decision to qualify in the Bowen Technique in 2012 after receiving regular Bowen sessions myself for a back problem which had occurred several years earlier. I now work at the Therapy Company's 2 clinics in St Annes and The Mill in the grounds of St Catherine's Hospice in Lostock Hall near Preston in an evening and at weekends.

The Bowen Technique is a gentle but effective hands on holistic therapy which is suitable for all ages, including babies. Bowen may help with a variety of conditions such as neck, back and other joint pain, asthma, anxiety and baby colic. Bowen an aid relaxation and promote a general sense of well-being in addition to providing pain relief.

A Bowen session typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes during which time a series of movements are made over specific muscles, tendons and soft tissue. Breaks are taken after each set of moves where I leave the room to allow the body the time and space to respond to the moves. The moves can be made through light clothing

An initial set of 3 sessions, one week apart is recommended during which time it is suggested that other physical therapies such as physiotherapy should not be undertaken.

If you would like any further information about cost, availability or the potential benefits of Bowen, please feel free to give me a call
