About me

Hi, I'm Jill Payne, a fully qualified and experienced Alexander Technique teacher based in Beckenham, South London. I help people of all ages to improve the way they use their bodies to reduce tension, pain and fatigue, and improve their posture, gait and ease of movement.

If you're wondering if AT could help you, I offer a free telephone consultation so we can have a chat about your situation. You're welcome to call to find out about the benefits available to you from learning the AT.

I also give regular two-hour workshops for small groups on some Saturday mornings to introduce the AT and explain how you would be helped by learning it. Check my website for dates and more details, I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

AT Training: 1999 - 2002 at the Constructive Teaching Centre, Holland Park, with master teachers Walter and Dylis Carrington.

Since then I have continuously been improving and broadening my skills and knowledge by working with other senior AT teachers from different training traditions in the UK, Ireland and most recently I have been studying with an Israeli teacher, Avi Granit. Avi trained with Patrick MacDonald in London and has over 30 years teaching experience.

My other interests and experience include the holistic approach to psychology and health, and the healing qualities of Reiki, kinesiology and conscious visualisation.
