I use manual methods to identify and treat stiffness which can cause pain, discomfort and other problems.
Stiffness can affect not only joints but also nerves, ligaments and internal organs, and the effect may be felt not only at the site of the problem, but also elsewhere in the body.
Having made an initial physical examination and discussed issues such as lifestyle, I locate and work on the specific areas which need to be stimulated in order to aid the body in bringing about its own recovery.
Osteopathy has two aims: to cure, but also to prevent problems.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience in acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain management and also in the treatment of sports people, musicians and singers.
My experience includes several months in a busy practice with midwives where I treated almost exclusively pregnant women and babies/children. I continue to work with mothers and babies.
I obtained my osteopathy degree in Paris. I opened a practice there and became an assistant lecturer at Ceeso Paris, a school of osteopathy. I obtained a PGDip in clinical anatomy (Université Paris V Descartes) and a PGDip in anatomy applied to clinical examination and medical imaging (Université Paris Ouest).
I have lectured at the British School of Osteopathy since 2010. I obtained a postgraduate certificate in research methods (University of Bedfordshire) and started a professional doctorate in osteopathy in 2011.
