Nine Springs Natural Health Centre
I have been a practising traditional acupuncturist in Yeovil since 1979. I work in both the 5 Elements and TCM styles which are very complimentary to each other, the 5 Element being more appropriate to addressing emotional/spiritual issues and TCM is more practical and 'medical'.
Acupuncture has the ability to treat an extraordinarily diverse range of health problems at a profound level. I don't consider myself to be a specialist in any one area, but have wide experience, including treating during pregnancy and attending childbirths. I love a challenge!
Since 2008 I have been running a multi-bed community acupuncture clinic (which means more ward-style treatment sessions, as in China) which provides more affordable acupuncture.
I run a Qi Gong (Chi Kung) class at lunchtimes, having practised for over 20 years, and am a Tai Chi enthusiast. Preventive medicine and being able to help yourself to good health are important tenets of my approach.
I am also interested in research, and as a member of the South West Acupuncture Research Group (SWARG) take part in various research projects.
Since 2004 I have been a trained mentor/supervisor within the profession and offer either one-to-one or group support. I also work as a regional support tutor and dissertation supervisor for the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading.
