About me

The mental and physical demands of modern day living are a fact of life - how we choose to respond to them is not. Learning the Alexander Technique can give you the tools to both improve your performance and help you look after your mental and physical well-being.

I discovered the Alexander Technique through trying to find a cure for neck pain following a whiplash injury. Not only did it alleviate and finally resolve the pain, but I was delighted to find that by using the skills I was learning I was able to successfully manage a severe phobia of public speaking. So, I am living proof that the Alexander Technique has the potential to help both the mind and body.

My background is in music and I have nearly 40 years of experience teaching the piano. I use this wealth of experience to create individually tailored learning programmes for each student.

Lessons in the Alexander Technique can provide students of any age and occupation with a powerful tool for personal development. It has the potential to help you optimise your performance, cope with stress and physical problems, and bring about a more balanced, happy and healthy life.

I teach the Technique individually and in groups, working with both children and adults of all ages and occupations. I am passionate about teaching and aim to work with each student to achieve their goals in the manner that is most appropriate for them.
