Training, qualifications & experience
Chelsea qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2005, from the University of Liverpool, and since then has gained a broad range of experience working in both the NHS and Private sectors. Since starting her private physiotherapy career, Chelsea has specialised in treating people with musculoskeletal injuries, ranging from whiplash following car accidents through to elite ultra marathon runners. She has been trained in acupuncture and carries out other regular training to ensure that all treatments are up to date with the current research and evidence base.
Prior to working privately, Chelsea was a Senior Physiotherapist in the NHS, working across several specialties, including Oncology, Acute Medicine (A&E and Medical Assessment Units), Elderly Care (Parkinson's Disease and Dementia Care) and Musculoskeletal Outpatients. She was also part of the emergency on call physiotherapy team, providing out of hours treatment for acutely distressed respiratory patients, covering the Intensive Care Unit and acute respiratory wards.
Drawing from her experience, she thoroughly assesses each individual as a whole, taking into consideration any past medical history and on going medication, as well as the current injury when formulating treatment plans. She is fully registered with the HPC, CSP, AACP andPhysio First.
Outside of work, Chelsea is a dedicated horse rider and enjoys competing her horse in Dressage, as well as playing squash in St Ives and attempting to convince her vegetable patch to be fruitful!
