Ayurveda is not only my area of expertise but is a true passion that I wish to share with all of you. Even the simplest lifestyle changes can reap some amazing health benefits when you are in sync with your doshic constitution. The true beauty of ayurveda lies not only as a curative science but largely around measures one can take to prevent conditions from manifesting. Like the entire universe, we are made up of the 5 elements and every person has a unique make up of vata (ether & air), pitta (fire & water) and kapha (water & earth). These doshas not only have distinct characteristics but govern various function in the body from, movement, digestion and metabolism to physical structure and stability. When one or more of these dosha’s are out of balance, various symptoms prevail and can lead to more chronic conditions as they continue to be aggravated.
Using herbs, diet, exercise, yoga, massage, aromas, mantras, and meditation, Ayurveda is able to restore the dynamic state of balance to achieve true well being.
I help numerous clients with various conditions such as digestive disorders, IBS, migraines, stress, hay fever, sinusitis, weight management, insomnia, depression, compromised immune system, skin conditions and more. Many clients feel that the treatments are very balancing and they benefit at an energetic level, making it much more than just a mechanical massage.
Training, qualifications & experience
After qualifying in holistic massage and diet and nutritional therapy in 1998, I was keen to explore the depths of the ancient science of Ayurveda.
I went on to qualify as an Ayurvedic Practitioner after studying BSc Complementary Health Sciences (Ayurveda) and a PG Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine, encompassing several months of clinical training in India. Inspired by my Indian roots, my passion for healing through Ayurveda has kept growing over the years.
As a member of the Ayurvedic Practitioners Association (mAPA), I currently practices at the Drakes of London, Fulham Broadway and Light Centre in Belgravia as well as freelance across central London.

How and why did I got involved in the area:
I am often asked how I got involved in ayurveda and I guess I was involved even before I realised as a British born Indian many of my lifestyle routines were very ‘ayurvedic’ in nature taught by my grandparents in my youthful years. After following a path in marketing for several years, I felt my contribution to society would more valued in healthcare which was already fast becoming part of my personal development.
Why you enjoy this area:
My work is immensely satisfying as clients report such vast health improvements from making even small dietary and lifestyle changes. Helping clients improve their health at their own pace regardless of their dietary and lifestyle background with such ancient knowledge demonstrates the profound nature of Ayurvedic knowledge. Though Ayurveda has its roots in Indian traditions, the seers of Ayurveda bring knowledge applicable to every person across the globe, taking into account the various diets, seasons and climate that also influence our wellbeing.
How I personally feel others can benefit from it:
Whether you wish to address a particular ongoing health concern, simply learn about your constitution so you can eat right for your body type or just treat yourself to a gorgeous hot oil abhyanga massage, there is something for everyone to benefit from.
