My passion for movement and understanding the body has propelled me to a continual search and in depth learning of ways to achieve flexibility, strength, and easy and efficient body function.
I offer a fusion of pilates, bodywork (massage, postural analysis, gait analysis), and Qigong. I assesses the individual requirements of each client prior to prescribing a programme to suit. My focus is placed on enhancing posture, encouraging more efficient movement patterns by inducing changes to the body's structure and educating clients into embodying these changes. The work will seek to address symptoms. But it will also go beyond that. I look to find underlying patterns that may have given rise to the symptoms. I will seek to recognize compensatory, adaptive strain patterns throughout the body, and how these patterns reinforce structural dysfunctions. Once these are identified, the primary aim is to balance the structural system, and not to 'fix' the aches. Structural balancing reduces the overall biomechanical stress, and will affect both the frequency and the severity of painful episodes.

Training, qualifications & experience
I studied and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Remedial Massage and Neuromuscular Techniques at the University of Westminster. At the same time I pursued and completed my qualification as a Pilates Matwork Exercise teacher with Modern Pilates, and a Pilates Equipment Rehabilitation Exercise instructor with Polestar Pilates. I am also a black belt Nia teacher.
Since the completion of the above qualifications, I have attended numerous workshops on various techniques and topics from myofascial techniques through movement integration to cancer rehabilitation. I also hold a certificate of Medical Qigong.
I have worked with cancer survivors at the Harley Street Cancer Clinic, and I am now offering Pilates Equipment Exercise sessions at Moss Pilates (Spitalfields Market area), and The Third Space (Soho). I also run my own bodywork practice care in Tufnell Park.
I have previously studied Mathematics, and Computer Science.
Fees depend on the location of practice. Please contact me for further details. I offer a 20min free assessment to any new client who would like to discuss the possibility of working with me in sessions with movement and/or massage therapy.
