About me

Are you exhausted or in pain by the end of the day? Are you struggling with a bad back, repetitive strain injury (RSI), neck or shoulder pain?

To find out how the Alexander Technique can help you please phone or email me, or visit my website: the-alexander-technique.co.uk

Whether you want to feel more at ease while working at a computer, playing a musical instrument, giving a presentation at work, or going to the gym, I want to help make it easier for you to do all the things you want to do without injuring yourself.

I like helping people cope with the ever-increasing stresses and strains of modern life. The fact that many of us lead fairly sedentary lives, often desk-bound and enslaved to our computers, iPads and smart phones takes its toll on our bodies, often leaving us drained by the end of the day. The Alexander Technique can really help alleviate pain and help you feel more energetic and calmer.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training took three years studying full time at the London Centre for Alexander Technique and Training. I am a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique ( STAT) which is the professional body for Alexander Technique teachers.

Since training I have also worked with students at the Royal College of Music. It is a compulsory part of the musicians course to improve their playing, help them pace themselves through their marathon rehearsals, cope with performance anxiety, and reduce the risk of RSI.

Before I trained as an Alexander Technique teacher I was a radio producer making programmes for Radio 4. Very interesting but often stressful with lots of deadlines. So I am particularly interested in helping people learn to cope confidently with office life and all the other demands they have to juggle with.

Fees

Lessons are one to one and last 45 minutes.  I charge £40 per lesson and if you have 10 lessons the 10th one will be free.

Further information

Appointments are five minutes walk from Golders Green tube and I also work at Temple Fortune Health Centre in Temple Fortune Lane, NW11 7TE

I am also happy working on site with businesses and organisations.

If you would like to book a trial lesson please contact me. If you have any questions about the Alexander Technique or are wondering how it could help you do get in touch or visit my website:

The number of lessons needed varies. People often start to see changes after half a dozen and the benefits continue long after you have stopped coming to lessons.  Other people get really interested in the Alexander Technique and want to carry on.

Important information

If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
