About me

REFLEXOLOGY WITH ELLY using Neal's  Yard Remedies

Reflexology with Elly is a safe, gentle non-diagnostic complementary therapy.
All my clients will benefit from a unique experience promoting balance to health and well being through the use of Neal's Yard Remedies.

This ancient therapy is a holistic treatment.Treating the whole person as a whole and not just the symptom being experienced.

The principle of the treatment is that there are many reflex areas in the hands and feet. These correspond to specific organs, glands and other structures of the body. By applying gentle but deep pressure to the reflex areas this can stimulate the blood circulation to eliminate toxins. This will help to rebalance stagnant energy to enhance the body's natural healing process from within.

I provide a safe, confidential and professional service to anyone who may experience any of the following symptoms: stress, tiredness/fatigue, hormonal imbalances, headaches/migraines, aches and pains, sinus problems, digestive disorders, constipation, insomnia, circulation problems, asthma or anxiety.

If you don't experience any of the above conditions but simply want a break from the stress of everyday life then reflexology could benefit you.

I have been asked by clients as to why I decided to train as a reflexologist. I was in the fortunate position to witness just how the gentle treatment can have a profound effect on the human body not only physically but also emotionally. It began whilst I was working in the environment of a very busy surgical hospital ward. One particular day I was part of a team of health professionals looking after patients who had been an inpatient for some weeks or some cases months. One of my patients was a vulnerable lady who was struggling not only physically but also emotionally. One of her many conditions was that she had very swollen feet and lower legs. Her skin was very tender to touch. Whilst she was talking to me about her worries I gently touched her feet. She jumped as result, I quickly apologized thinking I had hurt her. In fact she had the opposite reaction. She described my touch to her feet as 'lovely'. It took me by surprise and suggested to her to try reflexology from a qualified therapist. She agreed and I got on and arranged her first treatment before the end of my shift. I returned to the ward after a couple of days off and was very eager to see how my patient was after her having her first reflexology treatment.
She was energetic, happy and comfortable. She loved her first treatment and was amazed as to how she had responded as her feet and lower legs were much reduced in size and much more comfortable.Throughout her rather lengthy stay on the ward she continued to have the treatment on a weekly basis.

I have always enjoyed working with people and this continues each day with my therapy work.

I currently work from a Glencairn clinic in Sherborne Dorset. On some occassions I do home visits in the Sturminster Newton area.

I have a particular interest in working with cancer patients and their relations, women's health concerns, babies and children.
