Dorothy Smith Physiotherapy And Sports Injuries Clinic
8 Beeches Close
We specialise in the treatment of spinal, muscular, tendon and ligament injuries and conditions, sports injuries and post operative conditions.
Appointments can be made during the day Monday to Friday and we do two evenings.
Your first appointment will be a thorough assessment of your condition so that we can decide what the best form of treatment will be. It will be explained to you and you will usually have a short treatment and be given advice and or exercises to go away with. The follow up sessions, if required, will be full treatment sessions.
We use many different forms of treatment as well as taping, ultrasound, laser therapy and Pilates based exercise programmes.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as a Physiotherapist at Addenbrooke's school of Physiotherapy and qualified in 1988. Since then I have gained experience working in hospitals in East Anglia and in Australia. I have specialised in the treatment of musulo-skeletal conditions in an out-patient setting.
I opened my own clinic in 2001.
Anna Doggett, Chartered Physiotherapist joined the practice in 2005. She qualified at Brunel University in 1992.
We are both trained in Pilates exercise and trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Association.
We both like to keep up to date with the latest Physiotherapy techniques and attend seminars, conferences and courses on a regular basis.
