By law Osteopaths must be registered with the General Ostopathic Council of Great Britain and must keep their skills up-to-date with continuous professional development. They are highly qualified Primary Healthcare Practitioners who are insured to treat musculoskeletal conditions. No referal is necessary from your GP.
The initial consultation takes approximately 1 hour and includes the taking of a full case history, a full physical examination and the provision of a diagnosis and a treatment.
Subsequent treatments take approximately 30 minutes and involve a re-assessment of progress made followed by a full treament.
Training, qualifications & experience
BSc(Hons) - A three year Batchelors Degree in Biological Sciences.
DO - A diploma in Osteopathy.
MOst - A four year Masters Degree in Osteopathy.
