Training, qualifications & experience
Jonathan Meek BSc (Hons), BA (Hons), MChS, HCPC Registered
In 2006 I qualified from the University of Northampton with a BA (Hons) Sport and Health Studies degree and furthered my studies later that year. I qualified with a BSc in Podiatry in 2009. Since then I have been working for the podiatry service in the NHS. With over 5 years experience working for the NHS with high risk podiatry patients, I have gained a high level of experience working with a wide range of patients presenting with foot wounds and ulcerations, nail and skin problems, diabetic and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as working with more routine patients for nail, hard skin and corn care. I also have experience working as part of a podiatric surgery team, assisting a surgeon to correct foot deformities such as bunions, hammer toes, neuromas and many more.
I come from a family of chiropodists as my Mother has over 20 years experience at her branch of the Chiropody Care Centre in Wakefield, Yorkshire. I have been involved in foot care from an early age when I would often assist her during school holidays which developed my interest and enthusiasm for foot care.
Now based in Thrapston in East Northamptonshire I practice Chiropody and foot care from Thrapston to Oundle and Ringstead, from Bythorn to Twywell and everywhere in between, visiting the homes of my local patients at a time to suit them.
