I set up Target Massage whilst living in London in 2008. I initially trained as a scientist gaining a BSc Hons in Micro Biology and Virology from Warwick University in 1989. I realised pure science wasn't for me and after a few years changed direction first qualifying in Massage in 1996 with a Diploma from the London College of Massage. I continued my training with many weekend courses and later added a Level 5 BTECH in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy.
How can Massage help?
The demands our bodies experience due to modern lifestyles make massage an excellent tool for everyone to help minimize discomfort, to keep us training by speeding up recovery times or simply to cope with life’s challenges. Whether these stresses are self-imposed, such as an athlete or fun runner training for a marathon, or externally imposed by long hours in our workplaces.
What i do.
I tailor each treatment to the individual client, as no two people are the same! This means that each person’s treatment is different and subsequent treatments will also change and evolve as progress is made or issues arise that need addressing (such as an injury during training or too much gardening at the weekend). Each treatment will be a mixture of Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Connective Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage along with different types of Stretching. This is designed to optimize movement, help to relieve discomfort and promote relaxation.
