Celeste Cronin Thomas BA Hons, Yoga Dip, CHNC registered
My aim is to teach yoga adapted to the specific needs of the individual. In yoga therapy the many tools of yoga are used to manage and treat ailments of the body and the mind. It is a holistic method focusing on each individual's particular history and requirements, to support and aid the process of healing. Yoga therapy can be useful for managing chronic conditions or to acquire specific techniques to help alleviate symptoms and to improve the quality of life.
It can be helpful in the process of healing for individuals who have experienced loss or trauma.
The selection from yoga's tools including body postures, breath control and exercises, meditative techniques and the use of sound, to create an appropriate practice for each student, will be dependent on their interest, ability and lifestyle.
This therapy requires a willingness to practise yoga and some time is needed for its effects to be realised.
Before any therapy yoga can begin an assessment will be made of the student and they will be taught how to practise safely.

"Celeste has helped me on several occasions with different problems and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable and very perceptive: she sees everyone as an individual, and took time to understand my particular problems and how they affected me. Importantly, she is also practical and realistic - the yoga practices that she devised for me were tailored not only to my physical need, but how much time we knew I would actually spend on the practice! She could not have been more caring or supportive." Kate B.
