Catherine has undertaken two degree programs and many post graduate training courses. In 2000 she graduated from Middlesex University to become a Medical Herbalist and in 2008 she graduated from the European School of Osteopathy, Kent to become a Registered Osteopath and has since trained in dry needling/musculo-skeletal acupuncture and continues to develop her cranial osteopathy skills with the Sutherland College of Cranial Osteopathy. Further to this Catherine is due to undertake training in pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.
She is currently a member of the General Osteopathic Council, the British Osteopathic Association, The National Institute of Medical Herbalists and is an Associate to the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy.
Throughout Catherine’s career she has worked as a teacher, at the School of Osteopaths, helping to train and develop future Osteopaths; presented at several seminars, tutorials and a research conference, written articles for local newspapers, and appeared on local radio and television, talking about herbal medicine and osteopathy. She has also spent time in the classroom at several primary schools talking about the body to children who are amazed to listen about what happens inside our bodies.
Catherine is a dedicated mum to her 15 year old daughter and dedicated groom to the much loved family horse, on which her daughter competes regularly. This interest in horses goes even further for Catherine who has commenced additional training not only in the biomechanics of the horse and rider, but also in equine osteopathic treatment.
Catherine is passionate about her work, and being both an Osteopath and a Medical Herbalist, is able to give a range of treatments and can provide the therapies alone or in combination so the patient may be cared for in the best possible manner
