About me

I am a qualified reflexology practitioner with a background encompassing extensive experience with chronic illness. I trained at the Jackie Hamilton School of Therapies in Norwich, and qualified with the Association of Reflexologists obtaining a level 3 Diploma in Reflexology. I am fully insured and a member of the Association of Reflexologists.

Where appropriate, the sessions are enhanced with the additional uses of Hot Stone Reflexology, Hormone Balancing, and Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage techniques. I have also completed a course on cancer care – working within an integrated medicine model.

For me, the surroundings and atmosphere play an important role in the overall reflexology experience I offer my clients, therefore my treatment room encourages the highest level of relaxation and comfort. Complete with a quality treatment couch, a heated memory foam mattress & foot rest, mood music, soft lighting and cosy blankets; the tranquil ambience promotes a sense of pure relaxation which enhances your experience.

Reflexology is deeply rejuvenatory, bringing an immediate release of tension with numerous positive results and prolonged health benefits.  Suitable for anyone, it treats the person as a whole to release tension and bring about balance to the body’s organs and systems.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed an ITEC level 3 Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies prior to a 9 month period of study to obtain my ABC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology.   Accreditation by the ABC and ITEC ensures the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in courses of this nature.  I am also a full member of the AoR (Association of Reflexologists); this means I can put MAR (Member of the Association of Reflexologists) after my name.  In accordance with the AoR principles I must abide by the highest possible standards of professional conduct and as such have adopted a Code of Practice and Ethics.  I must undertake to expand my knowledge and skills with CPD (continuing professional development) to broaden my experience and knowledge.  I am also fully insured through the Alan Boswell Group.

I have attended workshops in the following advanced reflexology techniques: hormone balancing, lymphatic drainage technique, linking technique, Brazilian toe balance, hot stone reflexology; and Cancer care – working within an integrated medicine model.  I use a variation of the techniques to enhance each session according to my clients needs.  I have recently completed NCFE Level 2 certificate in Understanding Nutrition and Health.

Cat Jones MAR - About me

My vocation started in my childhood when I became unwell at the age of eight. My health continued to decline and I became bed bound for many years.  Eventually a diagnosis of M.E./Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was given and allergy treatment at a London clinic brought some improvement.  As I entered my twenties, I went on to live a normal life as possible within the confines of this condition. Ultimately I developed other valuable and insightful life skills which shaped my future and so I felt drawn to the world of complementary therapies. I went on to train in Touch For Health (a form of Kinesiology), Reiki, and Indian Head Massage. I married and had three children, finally making a full recovery from the M.E. in my late thirties thanks to the Lightning Process, a course designed to re-train the neural pathways which connect the mind and body. A couple of years later I gravitated towards developing a career for myself; my fairy-godmother (a reflexologist herself) prompted me to consider training as a reflexologist. The idea took hold and wouldn’t let me go. And from that point I simply never looked back.
