Working as a qualified teacher in a school dyslexia unit, and seeing the changes that were possible using the Brain Gym® movements, for both the students and myself, led to my qualifying as a kinesiologist six years ago. I work with children and adults, who often come with issues affecting their learning. You can find out more about how I work on my website www.mindandmovement.co.uk and www.rhythmicmovement.co.uk.
I also offer reiki for both people and animals. Reiki is a very calming and relaxing therapy and like kinesiology aims to balance mind, body and spirit.
I began learning Reiki, never having had Reiki myself, because we had one anxious dog, and one with arthritis and I wondered if Reiki could help them. I was really surprised, having been somewhat doubtful, to see their reactions and obvious enjoyment, and I discovered that I found it very calming and helpful too. I now really enjoy being able to share this energy with others.
